Wi-Fi list not showing during Registration
This article is for the:

Polare App (iOS and Android)
NOTE: This article should only apply to Trial devices during 2024 when the process of generating QR codes was not fully automated.
WI-FI LIST NOT SHOWING DURING REGISTRATION
No Wi-Fi networks show during the controller registration process ("Connect New Device) launched from the app Home screen.
During registration of
your controller, you see no WiFi networks on this page:
This can occur if the Bluetooth device name and the QR code on your device are mismatched. To confirm if this is the case:
- Go to your phone's Bluetooth settings, and select the option to view visible Bluetooth devices.
- Android: Settings > Bluetooth > Pair new device > Available devices list
- Android: Settings > Bluetooth > Saved Devices list
- iOS: Settings > Bluetooth > Other Devices list
- iOS: Settings > Bluetooth > My Devices list
- You should see a device name that looks something like this: PROV_1ABC23

Bluetooth device name on Android
- Write down this device name.
Use your phone camera (not in the app) to scan the QR code on your device. It should give you an output that looks like this:
{"ver":"v1","name":"PROV_1ABC23","thingname":"11f1c306-99da-4f8a-a6d2-f7d0548e5246","transport":"ble"}
Check that the numbers and letters following PROV_ (the device name) are exactly the same in the QR code and the Bluetooth device you wrote down in step 3.
If they are the same, there is a different error. Please contact our support.

Please submit a
support ticket or use our chat function at the bottom of this page.
If they are not the same, you can contact our support to issue you a new QR code. Or you can easily create one yourself with the following steps.
HOW TO CREATE A NEW QR CODE
- Go to a free QR code generator. For example: https://www.qr-code-generator.com/
- Copy and paste the QR code string (in brackets) as shown in step 4 above:
{"ver":"v1","name":"PROV_1ABC23","thingname":"11f1c306-99da-4f8a-a6d2-f7d0548e5246","transport":"ble"}
- Edit the QR code string so that the device name (PROV-1ABC23) between the inverted commas is the one shown in your Bluetooth settings, that you wrote down in step 3.
- Generate the QR code and save it as a picture.
- When the Registration process in the Polare app asks for the QR code, use the picture you just generated instead of the one on the device.
