If the app doesn't recognise the QR code on your device, please ensure the following:
- You have given camera permissions on your phone when requested. Your phone uses its camera to scan the QR code. We only require the camera while the app is active, however if you still have a problem, giving full permission may solve the issue.
- Ensure you are using the best camera on the phone (usually not the selfie camera on the front).
- Try holding the device at different distances. You should see the QR code come into focus for it to scan.
- Try changing the background to your device. Some phones have difficulty working out where to focus if the background is too close (e.g. a desk) or far away (e.g. the floor) or is very busy (e.g. a patterned background).
If after several attempts you still cannot scan the QR code, you will have to register the device manually.
