My Controllers

Polare App (iOS and Android)




Controllers (  ) are your Polare product
  1. You attach a Controller to a Device ( )  to use our AI savings service to control it
  2. You give a Controller a Profile( ) to provide information about your space, electricity tariff and location
  3. A Profile uses Settings( ) to know when you want your space to be heated or cooled

My Controllers

The My Controllers page is the default page of the app, you will be taken to this page whenever you open the app and login



Controller Options

Tap on a Controller to display the options for that Controller. From this view you can see and edit:
Controller status
There are five possible statuses you can see:

      Setup: Your Controller needs to complete setup to activate.

      Active: Everything working normally.

      Inactive: This Controller does not have a Profile assigned to it at present.

      Disconnected: The Controller has temporarily lost connection to our servers.

      Error: There is a problem that requires your action.

Settings
Tap to view or change the Settings ( ) for this Controller.
If this is grey, there is no Profile assigned and the Controller will be inactive ( )

view Profile
View the Profile that this Controller currently has assigned.
If this is grey, there is no Profile assigned and the Controller will be inactive ( )
assign / remove Profile
If there is no Profile assigned to this Controller, tap here to assign ( ) a Profile
If there is a Profile assigned to this Controller, tap here to remove ( ) that Profile
rename Controller
Tap on the Controller name to rename it

Status indicators

Under each Controller, you will see two icons which indicate the state of the Controller and Profile:
  1. Controller Status ( )
  2. Profile Status (

Controller Status

      Setup
  1. Your Controller needs to complete setup to activate
  2. You will only see this when you have no Profiles defined on your account, and you have not yet completed initial Setup
  3. To continue setup, tap on the Controller > tap on the orange controller ( )

      Active
  1. This Controller is active and everything is working normally
  2. A Controller must have a Profile assigned to be active

      Inactive
  1. This Controller does not have a Profile assigned to it at present
  2. A Controller without a Profile cannot operate
  3. To assign a Profile, tap on the Controller to open Controller options > tap on assign Profile ( )

      Disconnected
  1. The Controller has temporarily lost connection to our servers
  2. This should be automatically resolved without any action on your part
  3. Your Controller has 48hrs of schedules at any one time, so it can keep operating for two days without a server connection
  4. If this state continues longer than 48hrs, contact our support

      Error
  1. There is an error with the Controller or your account
  2. Please contact our support if this state does not resolve automatically


Profile Status

      Assigned
  1. This Controller has a Profile assigned to it and should be active
    Not Assigned
  1. This Controller does not have a Profile assigned to it
  2. For the Controller to work you need to assign a Profile
  3. To assign a Profile, tap on the Controller to open Controller options > tap on assign Profile ( )
      Error
  1. There is an error with the Controller or your account
  2. Please contact our support if this state does not resolve automatically

Connect a new Controller

Tap on this button if you have a new Polare product that you want to register with our servers and set up
