Polare App (iOS and Android)

There are two types of settings for Polare Controllers.
  1. The first is a Profile, which is information about your space and heating device. These are like presets on other appliances or software.
  2. The second is Settings ( ) which are the time and temperature you want your heating to be active. These are like a standard thermostat or timer.

Settings

There are three types of control in the Settings.

Day of the Week

Select one or more days of the week that you want to apply these Settings to.
  1. You can set up to 7 daily presets, or select groups of days (e.g. Monday to Friday, and Saturday/Sunday).
To add more than one day(s) of the week:
  1. Set the Active Hours and Temperature for your first selection
  2. At the top of the page, tap the additional days you want to make a different preset for.
  3. You can now set the Active Hours and Temperature for those days separately.
Info
If you leave day(s) of the week empty, the Controller will remain off during that time.
These next two controls only apply to the days of the week you have currently selected

Active Hours

Select a period(s) of time during the day that you want the Room to be at the temperature you want.
  1. You can select up to two continuous periods between 00:00 and 23:59.
Alert
Remember this is not the times you want the heater or air conditioner to be on, but the times you want your Room to be at the temperature you want (probably the times that the Room is occupied). Our AI will work out the optimal times for your device to turn on to achieve this temperature.

Target Temperature

Select the temperature you want to Room to be at during the Active period above.
  1. If you set temperatures that we calculate are not achievable with the power of your device, you will see a warning.
  2. You can still select these temperatures, but you will either see less saving or we will be unable to achieve the temperature you have asked for.
Idea
For example:
- An air conditioner cannot heat a room, and a heater cannot cool it.
- A small fan heater cannot heat a large room on its own.

Edit Settings

You can access Settings from several places in the app:
  1. Initial Setup. The last page of the Setup process defines the Settings for the Controller and Profile you are setting up.
  2. Controller view.  Go to My Controllers ( ) from the bottom menu > tap on a Controller to bring up Controller options > tap on the settings ( ) option > this will take you to the settings for that Controller
Info
A Controller must have an active Profile for you to be able to edit Settings.
  1. Profile view.  Go to My Profiles ( ) from the bottom menu > tap on the Profile you want to edit settings for > tap on the edit ( ) button > on the Create or Edit Profile screen, select
